Privacy Policy
Last updated September 2026. This policy covers roof-rank.com and the private client portals we deliver audits and rebuild work through. Roof-Rank is a United States agency working with roofing contractors, and this policy describes what we hold, why, and for how long.
What we collect
Information you submit through the application form: company name, website URL, your name and role, email address, primary market, annual revenue range, and anything you write in the free-text field. During an engagement we also hold what the work requires: analytics and Search Console access, hosting and DNS credentials where you grant them, existing site content, and the figures a client approves for publication. Server logs and privacy-respecting page analytics are collected on this site.
How we use it
To read and answer your application, to run the audit and prepare a proposal, to build and launch the site if you proceed, and to keep our own records of client work. We do not sell, rent, or share your information with lead-generation networks, list brokers, or third-party marketers, and we do not use one client's data to pitch another.
Client confidentiality
Engagements are covered by a confidentiality agreement. Client names are withheld from the case studies on this site unless the client asks otherwise, and every figure published there is approved in writing by the company it belongs to before it appears. Credentials are held only for as long as the work needs them and are revoked at handover on request.
Who else processes it
A small set of vendors we use to operate: hosting and CDN, email, portal file storage, analytics, and payment processing. Each receives only what its function requires. We do not transfer client data outside these vendors, and we will name the current set on request.
How long we keep it
Applications that do not become engagements are retained for two years and then deleted. Client records, deliverables, and contractual documents are retained as long as required for contractual, warranty, and tax purposes, generally seven years.
Your choices
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, by emailing the address in your correspondence with us. Deletion requests are honored except where we are required to retain records for tax or contractual reasons, and we will tell you which applies.
